Dear Internet,
By now I've visited all my classes for at least the first time. Two of my three computer science classes are not going to be very exciting for me. My concern with computer science is the design of what the end users get to use, and these classes are the exact opposite. There's way too much detail about exactly what the ones and zeroes are doing inside the computer for me to really care. My music appreciation class could end up being enjoyable, but it could also turn out quite dull; it's too early to call. The colloquium on this year's election is going to take a lot more work than I would prefer, but I'll be able to pull through it. I feel like I need this to force me to pay attention to the subject. I have a statistics and probability course as well; I haven't decided how I feel about it, yet.
Evan left took off to Seattle for PAX yesterday. He has a photography class that he needs to purchase a camera for, but it didn't happen in time for his trip so I let him take my digital camera. He promises to come back with quality video of Jonathan Coulton's performance. I wouldn't have minded going with him if it didn't involve paying for plane tickets and such.
Charter finally got around to connecting my apartment's internet connection yesterday. I doubt my neighbors will even realize I'm not borrowing from them their wireless connection anymore.
I'm looking forward to Boomsday. I've convinced six of my friends that aren't from Knoxville to come see it this year. We're going to go play frisbee golf, maybe see an IMAX movie, and definitely spending some quality time in market square. I'll be home tomorrow with some of them. Until then...
With Love, Noah
